As a child reading was my escape, I could easily be lost in a book for hours, unmoved from the spot where I had planted myself with a book and fuzzy blanket. Below is a list of books on my to (re)read list. The reason I say reread is because although I have read some of these texts before they were far removed from my medical education and any clinical experience. I think having the background and experience I do now will lend an interesting new perspective to these text. Any recommendations or suggestions? Please feel free to leave them below, I would truly appreciate it
- Complications || Atul Gawande
- Arrowsmith || Sinclair Lewis
- The Emperor of All Maladies || Siddharta Mukherjee
- When Doctors Don't Listen || Leana Wen & Joshua Kosowsky
- The Medical Detectives || Berton Roueche
- The Interpreter of Maladies || Jhumpa Lahiri
